StarkGate is a cross-chain bridge platform that allows users to transfer assets seamlessly between different blockchain networks, such as Ethereum and Starknet. The platform aimed to redesign its user interface to make the transfer process clearer, faster, and more user-friendly. The existing transfer flow was complex, leading to confusion among users, especially those new to crypto. Additionally, the design needed to accommodate both experienced traders and crypto newcomers, offering flexibility while maintaining simplicity.
My primary responsibilities included:
Conducted in-depth user research, including interviews and surveys using Maze.co and FigJam, to identify key pain points and understand different user personas. Developed user journey maps and created wireframes to visualize the new interface, ensuring that it addressed the needs of all identified personas.
Deposit Flow
Withdrawal Flow
Introduced two types of withdrawal options — Automatic and Manual:
Automatic Withdrawal
Added an option for users to opt for an automated withdrawal process, eliminating the need for a return visit. This service automatically completes the transaction once the transfer proof is validated, saving users time and reducing manual steps.
Manual Withdrawal
For users who prefer to control the process, the manual withdrawal flow was designed with a notification system. Users receive reminders when it's time to complete the transaction, ensuring they don't miss any steps.
Third-Party Bridge Integration
To provide flexibility, integrated several third-party bridge options, enabling faster transfers if users opt for external services. This addition allows StarkGate to cater to professional traders who need speed and flexibility.
